Our regular programme of guided tours offers visitors a variety of opportunities to glean new insights into our permanent collection as well as temporary exhibitions. Guided tours are open to the public every Tuesday evening and at the weekend. Additional, special tours are also frequently on offer. Every Thursday at noon, for example, a short tour delves into an individual work of art. Our programme on Wednesday mornings for people over 60 offers senior citizens a chance to explore and discuss works of art with other individuals of their age. On the 1st Sunday morning of each month, our programme for families offers children an opportunity to explore the art on display together with their parents, grandparents, other family members or friends in a creative atmosphere. In the “Forum” course programme, developed in co-operation with the Ada and Theodor Lessing VHS, an adult centre for further education in Hanover, there are courses on art theory as well as practical workshops which take place over several days. Additional events, such as lecture series, symposia, readings and concerts are also regular features of the museum's programme, complementing exhibitions and pursuing ideas significant to the permanent collection. A special feature of the museum is also its bi-annual events dedicated to art and religious worship at the museum, in which art is the centre of attention.
It is possible to arrange guided tours for groups in English.
